I didn't want to spend Sunday at any of the parks, so we decided to head to the beach. First, we stopped by the house that John and his family lived in when he was younger and his Dad was in Vietnam.
The boys had a great time playing in the sand and the waves and the water--it was fantastic!
The boys collected some sea shells for souvenirs and of course Alan found some local wildlife!
Then we went to this really nice beach, that wasn't even really crowded.
One of the coolest things at the beach was watching the pelicans flying around! They would buzz by the beach we were hanging out on (but never when the camera was handy)! Then they would fly out over the water and were diving for lunch--it was so cool!! These pictures are a bit fuzzy because they were pretty far out in the water, but still cool!
