March Madness!!!!

Oh look, I'm only a month or so behind! Yea me!
March was pretty much Nathan's month!
He had a lot going on (get comfy--lots of pics coming up):

He built an ode to his best buddy and our neighbor Nick.

Then there was his adorable St. Patrick's Day hat.

Then he made a mama bird with some baby birds--I think they were talking about this at school. (The baby birds are the pink things.) The baby birds got hungry so he made them some worms to eat--you can't really see them, but they were pretty cute. Then he had to build them a "tree" out of pillows and stuff on the futon so their nest would be safe!

The creative streak continued with
the construction of a bulldozer.

Then came the birthday festivities......
LOTS of birthday festivities!!!

Here's Nathan with his Optimus Prime decorations....

cake #1--for his friends (totally cool Optimus Prime edible image--freaked some of the boys out--we had to assure them that it was OK to eat! : )

cake #2 for the fam--complete with machine candles and Optimus Prime hologram thingys

and of course presents--I didn't have the room or the time to post all the stuff he got, but he was so excited about getting his own digging tools from cousin Lane and Aunt Carol....(I was excited too! Hopefully he leaves my tools alone now!)

 He even thought of some other uses for them.....

 That didn't last long though before he was out the door and in the dirt!!!
Then we took a little trip for the boys' Spring Break. (I had to skip one of my classes to go--it was worth it!)
We went to COSI--Nathan had never been before!

Of course one of Nathan's favorite things--the tornado tube......(check out Alan's flowing locks!! I wonder what my hair would have looked like in 78.5 miles per hour?!?)

Then there's the ever popular see if you can lift a car....

One of the other highlights of the trip for Nathan was seeing an old "haunted" prison--
I'm not sure if I should be worried or not....
I have to admit the building was pretty cool!

my favorite though.......

anyone wanna volunteer for prison.....anyone?

Bonus--closed on major holidays--everyone gets a holiday pass!!! Ha! Ha!

I thought that was funny....
