Spectacular September 2013!

Other than settling into the routine of school for everyone the only thing going on in September was.....
 That's right, the circus!! : )
Here are some of my favorite parts.....
trick horse riders.....
the high-wire motorcycle acrobat folks.....
the big cats....

some of the other acrobat acts......check this out, the lady at the bottom is hanging by her hair from the hair of the lady above!!!!! OUCH!!!!!
and of course the elephants.......
(that I hope they treat so, so, so good!!!)
My all time favorite of course was the dirt bikes in the metal ball of death! But I'm pretty sure I either couldn't get any kind of good picture of them, or my battery died or some other foolishness!!! Ah well, maybe next time! And that takes us to October....

Amazing August 2013

Ooooohhhh, August WAS amazing!! I had a little break between classes so we hit the road! First, we checked out Niagra Falls.

Then it was on to the Hill Cumorah--that was awesome!
We of course stopped by the Joseph Smith homes--Alan was so kind to pose for pics! : )
This first one was in a little log cabin where the family first lived....
Then, they built a bigger house. Joseph Smith hid the plates under this hearth--cool!!!
There was a huge tree in the yard that I think was planted in memory of one of the Smith's sons that died, but I don't exactly remember the story--yes, Alan posed that way in almost EVERY picture--anyone know the reference, huh, do ya? and no, Nathan is not peeing on the tree--he has his hands in his pockets! ; )
We also visited the Sacred Grove. I would have liked to spend more time at the Grove, but we had cranky people with us so we needed to move on. : (

Next up was Hershey, PA, which did not disappoint!! We hit Hershey park where I got a fantastic picture of Alan's roller coaster hair!!! Ha! Ha! Ha!
Here's Nathan and me on the bumper cars--he really did have more fun than it looks like he did in this pic!!
Here we are on a coaster--except that I cut Nathan's head off....
Last stop was Gettysburg, which was a hit with everyone I think! Here the boys are posing with Lincoln.
The month ended with everyone going back to school!! Handsome fellas!!

Whew! Another month done! I'm on a roll!!!! : ) Betcha can't wait for September!!! ; )

Jazzy July 2013

Huh, apparently July was a slow month! The highlights included Reunion for the boys (I was still in school!) and Scott's softball team winning the Championship game (which he didn't play in because, well, he was at Reunion! But I went anyway, so here's his team after the winning game--I thought about photo-shopping his face in there, but I'm no good at that! So here's Nate in the pool at Reunion with the Titanic he built from his Treo blocks......
 and Scott's softball team.
Whooooo hoooooo another month done. Now for August (and that officially puts me less than a year behind!! Go me!)

Jovial June 2013

I'm running out of "j" adjectives.....oh well. Let's see, what happened in June....of LAST year? I'm not even sure I can remember that far back!!
Oh yeah, school was out (at least for the boys!) Whoooo hooooo! I'm not sure who was more excited them or me!!!
That of course meant serious softball season! Here are Scott and Alan sluggin' away....guess I didn't get any pictures of Nathan playing-sorry Nate, I'll do better next year?

I did, however, get pictures of Nathan making his very own Titanic t-shirt, with of course pictures of one of the Titanic's sister ships, the Britannic as well as the Olympic!

Then, the month would not be complete without Alan getting his temporary driving permit!!! WATCH OUT!!!
Definite highlight of the summer was a trip to the Henry Ford Museum! Nathan loved the trains......

and of course the hearse (hurse)! What?!?!
He's been hangin' with Alan too much!!
All three boys loved building their own "vehicles"--
I use that term very loosely!!

And they made paper airplanes--check out where Scott landed his!! HA! HA! HA! Nice shot, Scott!!!!

Scott found a sweet camper!!! : )
Alan found a ton of cool cars--there's just not even enough room on this blog for all the pictures of Alan and cars!!!
Then of course we had the obligatory group shots that Mom made them take!! Handsome boys!! : )

I think this was their favorite though......
I was excited to sit in the actual seat, on the actual bus where Rosa Parks sat!!!! Coolest thing ever!!
Then there was a blast from Mom's past......mmmmmm hmmmm, Bo and Luke Duke in the General Lee!
OK, well here's a replica of the General Lee, but no Dukes--RATS!!

Scott was kind enough to help one of the Wright Brothers with his tie before they took a picture together! Ha! Ha! That cracked me up!!!

And of course, we can't go anywhere that has a tram or train of any kind and NOT get our picture....
At the end of the month I randomly saw this WAY cool bug/moth thing and had to get a picture of it!!!
And to round out the month of June, of course we had fireworks! What?!?!? Fireworks at the end of June?!?! Yup!!! I was determined to get in some big time fireworks since I knew we were going to have our own home-grown show in the court on the 4th, so we went to the base to watch theirs--ALWAYS a good show and this one did not disappoint!!! I could have had WAY more pics, but decided to limit myself to these three.....

Wow, now I'm only a year behind and not a year and one month!! : ) Next up July 2013..
