Awesome August 2012

August was full of kind of random moments....
Nate discovered the joy of blowing milk bubbles....
he was pretty good at it too! : )
Then Grandpa Bill treated us to a trip to KilKare--they do drag races and "roundy round" races. It was loud, but way fun!! They had some wild cars! Here are just a few....

Then Nathan found the biggest peanut EVER!! : ) He was so excited to open it and was thoroughly disappointed that it only had one measly peanut inside! Bummer! He was hoping for like five or something!
Then, in about 10 minutes one day, Nathan learned to ride a two-wheel bike! I was seriously slacking in the bike riding training and was determined to get him riding before the end of the summer--just made it!! Whew!!
Yea Nate!
Then, super BIG school year this year....
Nathan started full-time elementary, 1st grade,
Scott started middle school, 6th grade, and
Alan started high school--and Seminary : )--9th grade!!!
I have one child at each level--three different schools, which of course means three different start times. I have three hours of getting kids together and out the door, before I get myself together and
out the door for my classes!!
Nate wasn't thrilled about getting up so early--
so much for first day excitement!
Before...I told him that I was going to post this picture
for everyone to see
and after....he decided he didn't want to be grumpy boy!
Scott was super excited to start middle school--not really! He was really nervous! But he was super excited to see all his friends!!
Then of course Alan can't go anywhere without having some sort of run-in with an animal or a baby...not sure what that's about! He's decided he should either work in a zoo or be an elementary school teacher! Ha! Ha! I told him either one would work! So, no kidding, we were walking to the bus stop--can't remember why since there's no busing for the high schoolers, but we're walking along and Alan sees this baby bird just sitting in the gutter. So, he picks it up and puts it under the neighbors tree so it's not sitting out all exposed. (Not sure what happened to it. We're thinking it learned to fly real fast and flew off to live happily ever after!)

That was all the fun and excitement for August.
Maybe I'll get September done before the end of the year!
No promises!
